Coaching Pillar

Coaching is an ongoing activity and we have a structured program to cover all the bases. Right before any conference, and it is the case of VC APAX Conference, we run a Business Plan Competition for 6 weeks. Individual attendees bring their existing business plans or work to create one with a coach. Coaches interact with entrepreneurs for five weeks, and then the final product is presented before a panel of VCs and Angel Investors, who offer feedback. The top 5 finalists are invited to participate in the VC APAX Conference - they pitch their plans to VC/ Angel Investor panel put together for the conference.

VC APAX Business Plan Competition is open for enrollment! The time commitment is 6 weeks - participants and teams work with a coach 1 hour/week, to create or improve a business plan. The plan is reviewed by 3 capital source advisors, who provide feedback. If your plan is one of the best 5 submitted, you get to pitch LIVE (and watched by hundreds of possible "access to funding" sources) during Day 1 of VC APAX Conference. The winner is announced on the last day of the conference.

It's a launch!

In this special episode of Reflections, we speak with Deb Dietz, CEO of SMB Digital Education and Co-chair of the VC APAX Conference, and with Kevin Suboski, CEO of The Fastest Route, expert Entrepreneurial Operating Systems (EOS) implementer, and Chair of the VC APAX Business Plan Competition.

The Business Plan Competition is the vehicle we use to fulfill the vision for our Coaching Pillar. Each conference gets its own entrepreneur cohort - and a team of selected coaches, who oversee each of the teams for the period of 5 weeks. 

Coaches observe your behavior, make assessments and provide you with specific hands-on help - with the goal to make you as apt as possible, so when it is time for you to go before a panel of investors, you will be prepared. 

You might even be a soloproneur, but you need not be alone in the journey - an experienced coach will be there with you along the way. The Business Plan Competition Chair will be there to help you find the ideal coach!
